Health Studies
You might have heard “seed oils are bad for you” - but those claims come from studies on rodents and fish - not humans.
Much like how avocado, chocolate and grapes are toxic for dogs - but great for us!
Human studies actually show benefits with canola oil, which give us full confidence in the ingredients we curate.
We also believe health is about balance, not extremes.

Olive Oil
We often get asked why we don’t use olive oil - and the short answer is, it just doesn’t make sense for what we do.
The flavour clashes with our chilli oil, and unless it’s extra virgin, most olive oil is still extracted using solvents (just like seed oils).
But if we did use a beautiful Extra Virgin Olive Oil, we’d have to heat it during production - which feels counterintuitive to a raw ingredient.

Flavour
Canola oil's neutral flavour base allows all our gorgeous aromatics to shine.
We put a huge amount of effort into letting our flavour develop over 48hrs, so we want people to taste this at its fullest!

Affordability & Dietaries
Other oils would restrict dietaries, double the costs, making our products inaccessible for our wonderful fans.
